Welcome to Chris Evans Development
My work in the field of Computer Vision started while I was studying for my Masters in Computer Science at the University of Bristol. In my final year I investigated robust visual feature detection and description and it was during this project that I wrote the first version of OpenSURF in C++. Since then the library has been optimised and rewritten in a number of languages, including C#, objective C, Java, CUDA and more.
Following from my Masters I started working for Infrared Integrated Systems Ltd (Irisys). The company, based in Northampton, has developed a world-leading position in the development of infrared based sensors for a broad range of applications including people detection and tracking. Since joining in 2008 I have worked on a diverse range of projects, from low level tracker development and embedded DSP programming through to front end application development.
Irisys is currently recruiting Software Engineers and R&D technicians to join its development team in Northampton. For more information and to apply, click here.
The Twitter feed is updated whenever www.chrisevansdev.com is updated. If you're using OpenSURF then I'll also update the feed when the library code changes or is updated.
